MUM FC’s Young Talent Leads the Way

success for football

The preliminary league phase of the Men’s State League concluded on Saturday 5 September, with
our First Team recording a hard fought 1-0 win over Kelmscott at Frye Park.
Although top spot was already secure coming into the game, the boys were determined to extend
their winning streak to 7 games and did just that courtesy of an early Oriol Fernandez goal.
MUM FC continued the successful approach of blooding our young players, with 8 members of the
starting lineup under 20 years of age. 18 year old goalkeeper Joe Gan led the way with two
outstanding saves in the last 25 minutes to earn himself the Laxare Massage player of the match.
Dan Bell (16 years old), Chris Michael (15 years old), Joe, Lukas Debnam (17 years old) and Zac
Harris-Walker (17 years old) are pictured below and were all pivotal in the result.

In the earlier games, the 18’s recorded a 2-1 win and the Reserves battled for a 3-3 draw. Both
teams finish in the top half of their respective ladders.
The club now eagerly awaits the draw for the final league phase of the season, with our young talent
keen to continue to the plaudits on the success of MUM FC’s player development.

Dusting off the Covid Cobwebs

Academy Football

After 10 weeks of Covid lockdown, it was great to see our academy kids back at training running off the cobwebs, physical distancing and having fun.

We now have access to grounds so please contact your age coordinator or VP if you would like to have a kick around.
