WNPL Sign Ella Mastrantonio
MUMFC’s DATATEL WNPL team Coach Steve Atkins has recruited one of Australia,s best talents, Ella Mastrantonio (born 22 January 1992) is an Australian midfielder who has been playing for SKN St. Pölten in European league. She has previously played for Perth Glory, Melbourne Victory, Bristol City, Lazio, and Pomigliano.
Steve Atkins is extremely pleased with Ellas commitment to the club which will bring a level of professionalism not experienced at MUMFC before. Her experience will lift the team to another level and show the current squad what it takes to be at a professional elve.
Mastrantonio made her professional debut for Perth Glory during the 2009 season. She then played for them and for Melbourne Victory over eight seasons, including winning the 2013–14 W-League championship with Melbourne Victory.
In November 2019, Mastrantonio joined Western Sydney Wanderers.
On 30 June 2020, it was announced that Mastrantonio had joined Bristol City after spending over a decade playing in the Australian top-flight. She made her debut for the club in a 4–0 home loss to Everton in the FA WSL. Mastrantonio was released upon the expiration of her contract at the end of the 2020–21 FA WSL season.
In July 2021, Mastrantonio signed a two-year contract with Italian club Lazio, following their promotion to the Serie A ahead of the 2021–22 season. She was the first Australian woman to join the club after consulting with the club’s assistant coach Nicola Williams who had previously coached Perth Glory. Following poor form by the club, which included the dismissal of coach Carolina Morace who had recruited Mastrantonio, she departed the club in December 2021 to try to find another club in Europe to play for and to increase her chances for an international call-up.
In January 2022, Mastrantonio joined Serie A club Pomigliano.
In July 2022, Mastrantonio returned to Australia, signing a two-year contract with Perth Glory for her fourth stint with the club.
In August 2023, Mastrantonio left Australia once more, signing with Austrian champions SKN St. Pölten.

Miniroos START
MSL on top
State League Division One leaders Murdoch University Melville’s fantastic start to 2024 continued as two goals from Iljas Ahmedov helped them to a 3-1 win away to Cockburn City.
It was a fourth win in four games for Marc Anthony’s side who open up a two-point lead on the chasing pack, with three other sides also still unbeaten.
Ahmedov’s two goals in a minute sparked the game into life, with the forward heading in Brodie Langan’s cross before cleverly deflecting home Godfrey Asimwe’s low effort to take his tally to four goals in four matches.
Cockburn pulled one back 10 minutes after the interval when Ivan Skorich lofted Oliver Palmer’s cross into the net. But a comeback wouldn’t eventuate and Murdoch’s third came late in the piece when Michael Craggs’ clearance went straight to Edward Wynne-Willson who lifted home stylishly from all over 35 yards.
The result sees the MUMFC team head to Dianella White Eagles SC this weekend to continue their winning ways.
Lets get behind MUFC on all levels within the club
