MUMFC Term 2 School Holidays Clinics
Location: Murdoch University Synthetics Playing Fields
Monday 8 – Wednesday 10 July (3 days)
0900 -1200 (3 hours sessions)
Age Groups – U6 through U12 (2018 – 2012 Birth years)
All 3 days – $225, $90 for single days
The tournament starts June 3rd with three days of Group games. In between these and the finals on 7th & 8th the squad spend a day coaching local underprivileged children the game and then gifting many football kits and equipment to the kids to give them a helping hand on their football journey.
It’s a timely reminder to all that with hard-work, belief and a strong, supportive community, anything is possible.”

State League Division One leaders Murdoch University Melville’s fantastic start to 2024 continued as two goals from Iljas Ahmedov helped them to a 3-1 win away to Cockburn City.
It was a fourth win in four games for Marc Anthony’s side who open up a two-point lead on the chasing pack, with three other sides also still unbeaten.
Ahmedov’s two goals in a minute sparked the game into life, with the forward heading in Brodie Langan’s cross before cleverly deflecting home Godfrey Asimwe’s low effort to take his tally to four goals in four matches.
Cockburn pulled one back 10 minutes after the interval when Ivan Skorich lofted Oliver Palmer’s cross into the net. But a comeback wouldn’t eventuate and Murdoch’s third came late in the piece when Michael Craggs’ clearance went straight to Edward Wynne-Willson who lifted home stylishly from all over 35 yards.
The result sees the MUMFC team head to Dianella White Eagles SC this weekend to continue their winning ways.

Major win for community and sporting facilities in WA
The Cook Government is once again showing its commitment to community sporting and recreation needs by providing a major source of funding for the year ahead – $24.2 million in total for facilities’ infrastructure and lighting up clubs at night.
State Government’s Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund hands out more than $20 million to 24 projects for 2024-25
Club Night Lights Program gives more than $3.4 million to 11 projects
Funds contribute to increasing physical activity and participation in sport by supporting the financing of community infrastructure and lighting up facilities for longer hours of use.
The Cook Government is once again showing its commitment to community sporting and recreation needs by providing a major source of funding for the year ahead – $24.2 million in total for facilities’ infrastructure and lighting up clubs at night.
More than $20 million is being handed out to 24 projects via the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF). Clubs and local governments are receiving funding for improvements such as new changerooms as well as football, netball, tennis, swimming, golf, bowling, BMX, and skate park facilities.
Meanwhile the Club Night Lights Program (CNLP) is dishing out more than $3.4 million to 11 projects to upgrade lighting or install new floodlights.
An advisory committee of community, local government, State Government, sporting and Aboriginal interests stakeholders are involved in the assessment of applications. Recommendations are then made to the Sport and Recreation Minister for approval.
